Our Favorite Video Apps to Help You Capture Special Moments During Thanksgiving

We’re wishing you and your family and friends a warm Thanksgiving this year.  To help capture the moments you’ll create this Thanksgiving, here’s a list of our favorite video apps for you to use.  Have fun!

Our favorite video apps to help you capture your Thanksgiving moments:

Camcorder: Free in the App Store and Google Play

Usability: So easy that Grandma can use it!

Why we love it: If you’re a fan of the 80s and 90s (we sure are!), then you’ll love filming video with this camcorder app.  It allows you to create videos that look like they were created in the 80s and 90s with the infamous timestamp and of course the imperfections.

Splice: Free in the App Store

Usability: Hand over to that millennial cousin of yours because this app takes some time to get used to.

Why we love it: You can put your videos and photos to music with smooth transitions, effects, speed control and more!  The music library is actually pretty great.  You can even add narration.  There are so many cool features to make your videos look like they were edited by a pro!

iMovie: Free in the App Store

Usability: Mom and Dad approved! Great for those family members who are accustomed to their iPhones.

Why we love it: This is the best app to use if you’re planning to participate in the #MannequinChallenge!  Did you have a mess up?  Simply cut it out!  Best of all, you can add music to your video from your personal library.  If you want to read up on the #mannequinchallenge, how it began and what music to use, click here

FxGuru:  Free in the App Store and Google Play

Usability: Easy!  Hand off to those you want to keep busy.  This app can get addicting.

Why we love it: It’s completely different than the regular video editing apps.  This app has Hollywood special effects that you can add while recording.  It’s fun and entertaining!  Some of the effects, such as the dancing reindeer, are free!  But some other special effects require a small purchase.
